About the Journal

Conditions to submitted to the journal

1.- The Revista Técnica de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad del Zulia (RTI-LUZ)  will consider for publication related works in all branches of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The works to be published must be original, unpublished and of proven technical quality.

2.- The RTI-LUZ receives the following types of manuscripts:

  • Articles of applied and/or basic research with a maximum of fifteen (20) pages.
  • Technical Notes with a maximum of seven (10) pages
  • Update/Revision Articles, with a maximum of twenty (25) pages
  • Invited Articles
  • Communications to the Editor
  1. The manuscript must be sent to the official mail of the journal:

revistatecnica@fing.luz.edu.ve revistatecnica@gmail.com. The articles or paper must be prepared to following the publication roles of our journal.

  1. Articles must be accompanied by a request and a letter of declaration of originality addressed to the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, where ALL the authors clearly submit their manuscript to the review and opinion of the RTI-LUZ. Additionally, you must send a list of possible referees (minimum four (4) whose affiliation is different from that of the authors), with 4th or 5th level academic training and with proven research in the area.

5.- In an attached file they must send the complete data of all the authors including the following detailed information of each one: Author's full names: First Name followed by the First Last Name and second last name separated by hyphen. Address: Laboratory, Center, Unit, Faculty, University, Postal Box (P.O.Box), City Postal Code, Country. Email: xy@email.com. ORCID: Code https://orcid.org/0000-xxxxxxxxxx

  1. Oncethis request is received, and the work is inserted in the publication areas of the journal, it is sent and submitted to a preliminary evaluation by the Associate Editors and the assignment of the panel of arbitrators by them, if it is acceptable to submission.
  2. The editorial and review process of the manuscript begins after all the requirements have been met, which are verified by the Editor-in-Chief and the editor associated with the area in the preliminary evaluation, which considers the following:
  • The manuscript is inserted in the areas and/or branches of interest in the publication of the journal
  • The manuscript is prepared according to the publication standards of the RTI-LUZ
  • The authors meet the requirements of the Publication Standards, among them; Declaration of Originality (they certify that their manuscript is original and unpublished, it is not being submitted simultaneously and that the person presenting it owns the copyright of it). Letter of Application and List of possible Arbitrators in the subject area.
  • The work is original and unpublished. The content of the postulated manuscripts is verified in its similarity with other texts through computer programs (Copyleaks or Plagium). The RTI-LUZ adheres to the COPE criteria and guidelines to solve any ethical problem of redundancy, duplication and presumption of plagiarism.
