Consumo responsable: conocimiento y actitud medioambiental en la salud y el comportamiento de los consumidores
Abstract
La Agenda 2030 de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas supone la transición hacia una actitud de consumo más sostenible. Por lo que resulta clave investigar acerca de las variables que determinan el cambio de actitud de los consumidores frente a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar el nivel de conocimiento, la actitud medioambiental y la actitud hacia la salud de los consumidores de Machala (Ecuador), con el fin de promover practicas saludables. Para ello se aplicó un modelado de ecuaciones estructurales. Los resultados demuestran que el comportamiento como consumidor responsable está determinado por la actitud medioambiental y el conocimiento. Se concluye que los modelos de consumo sostenibles necesitan no solo la participación de los consumidores sino también la intervención reguladora de los formuladores de políticas y el compromiso de las empresas en sus actividades productivas. A futuro, la metodología empleada se puede replicar a investigaciones similares en otras zonas de estudio.
