Abstract

A bibliometric study was carried out to examine the incidence of information technologies in decision-making processes; for which a search was made of the articles present in Scopus publications. The search yielded 1,220 articles to which the indicators of quantity, quality and structure were calculated. The results show a dispersion of knowledge with a growing trend in the generation of research in technological decision making in the United States, China and the United Kingdom. Furthermore, this trend is given by authors with a density of collaboration, production and influence, scattered in China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea, Spain, Germany and Australia. It is concluded that research on decision-making with support in technologies focuses on subtopics such as multi-criteria decision-making, topsis, health technology evaluation, renewable energy, sustainability and technology evaluation, which shows that research in this regard is focused based on market needs.
