Satisfacción estudiantil en la educación virtual universitaria: Una revisión sistemática de literatura

Resumen

Los estudios universitarios en modalidad virtual han experimentado un notable incremento y en consonancia, se han multiplicado las publicaciones científicas acerca de la satisfacción estudiantil en la educación universitaria virtual. Por ello, esta investigación buscó caracterizar la producción científica en Scopus acerca de la satisfacción estudiantil en la educación virtual universitaria. Se realizó una indagación documental, con diseño de revisión sistemática de literatura, en la base de datos Scopus a través de cuatro fases: Identificación, cribado, elegibilidad e inclusión. Este proceso fue realizado de manera independiente por los investigadores, siguiendo los criterios de la Declaración PRISMA. Finalmente, se incluyeron 50 trabajos que cumplían con los criterios de elegibilidad establecidos, la mayoría con enfoque cuantitativo. Entre los hallazgos, se destaca que un 84% de los estudios reportan algún grado de satisfacción estudiantil. Los factores más importantes asociados a esta satisfacción incluyen la autoeficacia en la educación virtual; presencia social y cognitiva del docente; contenido y diseño del curso virtual; y calidad de la plataforma de aprendizaje utilizada. Se concluye que la evidencia indica que la satisfacción de los estudiantes en la educación virtual está vinculada, en diversos grados, a factores relacionados con el propio estudiante, docente, curso y la gestión académica.
