Efecto de Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissl. sobre la fisiología de guisantes (Pisum sativum L.)
Resumen
Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissl. es responsable de causar manchas foliares y enfermedades de tizón en una gran cantidad de cultivos hortícolas y agrícolas, incluido el guisante. La respuesta y resistencia de diferentes variedades de guisantes a este hongo puede variar. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este estudio fue investigar las diferencias varietales en la respuesta fisiológica de Pisum sativum L. a A. alternata. Varios parámetros fisiológicos y bioquímicos de dos variedades comerciales de guisantes (Leina y Meature) fueron evaluadas en etapa vegetativa en macetas experimentales. Semillas estériles se humedecieron durante 15 min con una suspensión de 1×105 mL de conidios de A. alternata y las semillas de control se humedecieron con agua estéril. Estas semillas se sembraron en macetas que contenían tierra estéril. En ambas variedades el porcentaje de germinación, tasa de germinación, índice de vigor de plántulas, longitud de raíz y brote, biomasa seca y fresca, azúcar de hoja, contenido de clorofila a y b, contenido de clorofila total y de carotenoides, potencial osmótico foliar, contenido relativo de agua foliar, disminuyeron significativamente en A. alternata estresada en comparación con el control. Pero el contenido de prolina y proteínas aumentó significativamente. Se concluye de estos resultados que A. alternata causó efectos adversos en la fisiología de la planta de guisantes. Se encontró que la variedad de guisantes Leina es más sensible bajo el estrés fúngico de A. alternata en comparación con Meature y el grado de estrés causado por ambas variedades de prueba puede ser aprovechadas en estudios futuros.
