Postcards from Leningrad: The Venezuelan Guerrilla from the Infant Gaze
Abstract
In order to interpret the film Postcards of Leningrad (2007) by Mariana Rondón, from the infant gaze as a narrative vehicle, this qualitative study of a descriptive type is developed, exposing the narrative strategies used by this author to represent the children's universe, showing a history that reaches an incisive and novel position on the Venezuelan guerrilla. Methodologically, we resorted to open interviews and bibliographic-documental review, theoretically based on Dudley (1993) who explains the theory developed by Münsterberg (1916), and some elements of the analysis methodologies proposed by Sulbarán (2000), Metz (1993), García de Molero (2007), García and Mendoza (2005) and Bordwell (1990). Finally, the elements and strategies used by this author in the representation of childhood and the development given to this narrative method in which the child mind converges in an environment of dispute between the guerrilla and the Armed Forces are shown.
