Methodology. A descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out, which included 30 patients, evaluating various clinical and epidemiological variables statistically analyzed and the results presented in graphs and tables. Results. 60% were female and 40% male, the average age was 63.33 years; 36.66% had previous ulcers. In 60% the etiology of the ulcer was venous and in 23.33% it was neuropathic; 43.33% had grade I ulcers, and 36.67% had grade II ulcers. The most frequent comorbidities were arterial hypertension, venous insufficiency, and diabetes mellitus. The correct initial etiological diagnosis based on the anamnesis and clinical assessment is crucial to install the appropriate treatment measures and avoid chronicity and recurrence of the ulcer.
