Radial tire wear optimization conditions for transport buses
Abstract
To discriminate the effects of controllable factors that affect the duration of radial tires applied on transport buses, depending on the tread wear rate, a nonlinear analysis of estimation with equations is applied. It is verified that a control of inflation pressure, load index and speed can increase the lifetime of the tires. The population was made up of tires installed in land transport cooperatives of people, which circulate in the El Oro Province (Ecuador). 1463 data from 61 brands were registered, with different dimensions type R17.5 and R22.5. The established model is feasible, and the results may reflect the conditions of better use or increase of useful life, which provides a theoretical basis for predicting the wear that the tires will experience in different types of application and driving conditions.
