The journal recommends that scientific articles include: title, author, abstract (Spanish and English), keywords, introduction, literature review, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, and references. However, the journal admits articles that have a different structure, in attention to the objectives and methodological orientation of the research work.

Title: It must be clear and concise, with a maximum of 18 words, without abbreviations. The title will be presented in both Spanish and English.

Abstract: The works will be accompanied by an abstract in Spanish and English, each one not exceeding 250 words. The abstract must follow the sequence: objective of the work, methodological procedure and results or conclusions.

Keywords: they are selected taking into account the most appropriate thesaurus. It is recommended to use the UNESCO vocabulary: http://vocabularies.unesco.org/browser/thesaurus/en/?clang=en

Introduction: the research problem and its importance, limitations of existing knowledge and the objectives of the study will be exposed.

Literature Review: consists of a brief analysis of those publications that are related to the topic studied (preferably recently published scientific articles), to relate their contributions in terms of research history with the objectives of the article.

Materials and methods: Information is offered on the methodological procedure implemented in the development of the research that gave rise to the scientific article.

Results: The most relevant results and trends of the work are exposed. It may be organized in sections and subsections duly identified with fully numbered subtitles in Arabic according to the decimal system, responding to a continuous succession.

Discussion: It is the analysis or interpretation made by the author of the results, and its comparison or contrast with the results of other authors. The results and discussion may be presented together with the subtitle "Results and Discussion".

Conclusions: Here the novelties and contributions to the existing knowledge on the investigated problem will be indicated. Its content must be related to the objectives of the work.

References: References (bibliographic, newspaper, oral and/or documentary) will be presented at the end of the text, as established in the Regulations for the presentation of works at the University of Zulia. The order of the references is alphabetical by last name. The different works by the same author will be organized chronologically, in ascending order.

- Citation

The citation will be made in the text using the author-date modality, established in the Regulations for the presentation of works at the University of Zulia, indicating, in case of being a direct citation, the author's surname(s), followed by a comma, year of publication of the work, followed by a colon and the number(s) of the page(s), for example: according to Rincón (1998: 45) or (Rincón, 1998: 45); if it is not a textual quote but a paraphrase, the page number will not be indicated, example: according to Rincón (1998) or (Rincón, 1998). If there are several works by the same author published in the same year, they will be arranged literally in alphabetical order; for example, (Rincón, 2008a: 12), (Rincón, 2008b: 24). If there are two authors, only the first surname of each one will be placed, for example: According to Morales and Fleires (2008: 90) or (Morales and Fleires, 2008: 90), following the same criteria explained above for in-text citations and paraphrase. If there are three or more authors, the surname of the main author will be placed followed by "et al", example: (Rincón et al., 2008: 45).
