BURNOUT SYNDROME IN ENFERMERAS AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO THE SATISFACTION OF USERS OF EXTERNAL CONSULTATION OF THE HOSPITAL OF THE IESS-LATACUNGA-FEBRERO-2020
Abstract
Based on the results of the study, the research approach and what was carried out in this work, the objective was to determine the existence of Burnout Syndrome in nursing professionals of the hospital Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social de Latacunga, province of Cotopaxi, Ecuador. The study was descriptive, explanatory, contrastive, with a transversal design, an inductive and deductive style of thinking, and a qualitative-quantitative approach. Information was collected by means of sociodemographic surveys of a total population of 100 nurses working in this hospital and the use of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) instrument; direct observation and a questionnaire were also used. For the statistical analysis, the SPSSS version 20 program was used, applying the nonparametric Mann Whitney U and Kruskall-Wallis tests to estimate associations between variables. The socio-demographic study of the nurses showed that 62.5% of the sample surveyed was female and with respect to length of service, 50% corresponded to the group of 11 to 15% of years. The relationship with the patient was: 25% not at all friendly, 37.5%, 25% not very friendly and only 12.5% were friendly. It was concluded that BS was more frequent in women and singles, the symptoms were noticeable and frequent in nurses.
