Quórum Académico
Vol. 18 No. 2 (2021)The journal Quórum Académico is attached to the Communication and Information Research Center (CICI) of the Faculty of Humanities and Education of the University of Zulia. Quórum Académico represents a response to an ideal shared by our community of researchers to create a forum for theoretical and epistemological discussion on the profound changes in the thematic axes of the field of communication and especially in the problem of its teaching in universities. It is therefore decisive to bring about changes in the approaches, methods and theories to be addressed in communication research, not only because it is a planetary phenomenon whose extensive networks and links cause deep social and cultural divisions and exclusions, but also because communication also holds an immense unexplored field from which emancipation can also be invented. Quórum Académico is a refereed journal, specialized in communication and information issues, published two issues a year, until the project is consolidated and a greater periodicity is chosen. The issues may offer papers on the phenomena of communication and information, demonstrating their close relationship with the socio-cultural and political context that defines them. For some editions, calls for papers on monographic topics will be organized.
