Abstract

This article deals with the epistemic of urbanism, which is constantly growing; therefore, it is susceptible to errors and limitations that require its periodic review; without it, it is highly probable that anarchy and dogmas of concepts, methods, and techniques will be incurred. The objective of this research is to identify the reality and present of urbanism in Colombian cities, from a multidisciplinary point of view, being the city the protagonist of the dialectic. The research methodology is framed in a qualitative approach, through the application of phenomenological and hermeneutical methods. Finally, it is confirmed
that urban planning as a discipline is associated with the transition of knowledge of the city and the territory, based on its social, economic, political, environmental and architectural aspects that represent its own planning.
