Developing English writing skills at undergraduate level with Wattpad
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to measure the effect that Wattpad has on the development of writing and reading English language skills on undergraduate students during the year 2018. A mixed study was carried out in which elements of content analysis of the texts written by the students in Wattpad are combined with a qualitative evaluation of the products and the students' perception of their use. The results indicate that Wattpad contributes to improve writing skills, when the feedback is done between peers. The students’ perception consider that it is a “gem” application that mainly helps reading.
