Abstract

This study analyzes factors that affect the didactics of social sciences from the possibilities of social innovation. From the methodological approach, a qualitative stance was assumed to describe the study phenomenon based on interviews applied to teachers and analyze contents of the study plan of the social sciences area of a public educational institution in Colombia. The results reveal the importance of social innovation as a didactic mediation of the social sciences in curricular restructuring with new approaches and actions leading to quality and academic relevance.
