Abstract

The purpose of this work is to carry out a brief analysis of strategic imperative planning as a means of achieving Sustainable Development Goal 11. It is considered that said instrument is likely to become an effective tool for polycentric development based on intermediate cities compared to the tendency to concentration of the population in metropolis. However, for this to happen, it is considered necessary not only to overcome local planning for the benefit of a territorial planning, but also to decisively combine influential content with binding content in order to moderate the expansion of large cities.
