THE SYSTEM OF LIMITATIONS AND STRUGGLES IN DISTANCE EDUCATION IN LUZ IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID-19 IN VENEZUELA
Abstract
Based on the Research competence that sustains Social Work, we have carried out a study whose objective is to interpret the meanings that students from the University of Zulia (LUZ), Maracaibo, Venezuela, assign to distance education in the context of COVID-19 coronavirus and social quarantine. Qualitative orientation and Grounded Theory are used. The results show that when this type of education is applied in a country which government does not guarantee the operation of the platform required for its development, the situation can be translated to a non-optimal learning and an investment of unnecessary efforts. It is concluded that the shortcomings and deficiencies present in the country slow down learning. This can be conceptualized as the System of Limitations and Struggle (SL = S4 + C3), in which the S and Cs stand out, that is, the deficiencies and obstacles that predominate in Venezuela as part of distance education.
