Approach to the professional profile of the teacher in charge of the professional practice curricular area at the Universidad del Zulia
Abstract
The main purpose is to share the construction of an approach to the professional profile of the teacher in charge of the professional internship curricular area at the Universidad del Zulia (LUZ). This profile is supported by particular institutional and national characteristics and paradigms, which allow the development or implementation of an identification of the students who intend to graduate from university institutions. LUZ does not have an exhaustive and succinct statement in a single document properly approved of the professional profile of the university professor, which identifies or compares it with peer institutions. It should be noted that much less happens with the profile of the teaching professional in charge of the professional internship. The latter is of singular importance, since all the competences that make up the current curricular model of the university are integrated into it. Based on a documentary review of the different laws that relate to the exercise of the teaching profession, including the different regulations that support this work, both national and internal to LUZ, a data verification matrix was designed, where it was generated an approach to the roles, functions and tasks performed by the person in charge of this area of the study plan of a functionally practical autonomous nature -supervised, which adds value to the transformation processes that the university undergoes at the curricular level and will help to evaluate the exercise of the functions of university education graduates, directly impacting the quality of their training and educational services provided by this century-old institution.
