The research was developed with the objective of analyzing the teaching styles for the application of information and communication technology in university institutions in the state of Zulia, it should be noted, the relevance of the subject as it is convenient to understand its importance in the field of university education, taking the theoretical criteria of: Landeau (2012), Yanes (2011), Martín (2008), Cabero (2007), among others. The study approach is positivist under quantitative methodology, under a descriptive type of research with non-experimental, transectional, field design. The population consisted of forty-two teachers from the Education Program of the university education institutions of the Cabimas municipality, to whom a questionnaire was applied. Difficulties were evidenced in the active guidance of students in the application of ICT as a tool that supports learning, considering it important to establish dialogic meetings between teachers and students where the achievements and difficulties in the training process are discussed, through work tables , in order for the teacher to motivate students and monitor their learning.
