En el artículo se estudia la actualización sistemática que el sociólogo y filósofo Axel Honneth hizo a la teoría hegeliana de la lucha por el reconocimiento. Para ello nos propondremos varios objetivos. En primer lugar, se muestra cómo las premisas “metafísicas” del proyecto hegeliano no son compatibles con el pensamiento científico contemporáneo, ya que ellas no pueden verificarse en la realidad empírica. En segundo lugar, se demuestra que el proceso a partir del cual Honneth cancela el fundamento especulativo del proyecto hegeliano para llevar a cabo la re-actualización del mismo. La metodología que emplearemos en nuestra investigación es de carácter teórico-cualitativo. Ella nos permitió recolectar la información necesaria para el éxito de nuestra investigación. Además, dicha metodología permitió responder más abiertamente sobre algunas cuestiones de la psiquis humana e interpretar las acciones individuales y sociales a partir de distintos puntos de vista. Al final de nuestro artículo se obtuvo varias conclusiones. Se da cuenta que las ocasionales formas de reconocimiento recíproco son el resultado de determinadas experiencias de “menosprecio”, y que de las figuras de menosprecio emergen motivaciones morales que empujan a luchar hasta alcanzar el reconocimiento recíproco entre las personas.

Abstract

In the article we will study the systematic update that the sociologist and philosopher Axel Honneth made to the Hegelian theory of the struggle for recognition. For this we will propose several objectives. In the first place, we will show how the “metaphysical” premises of the Hegelian project are not compatible with contemporary scientific thought, since they can not be verified in empirical reality. Second, we will show the process from which Honneth cancels the speculative foundation of the Hegelian project to carry out the re-update of it. The methodology that we will use in our research is of a theoretical-qualitative nature. It will allow us to collect the necessary information for the success of our investigation. In addition, this methodology will allow us to respond more openly on some issues of the human psyche and interpret individual and social actions from different points of view. At the end of our article we will obtain several conclusions. We will realize that the occasional forms of reciprocal recognition are the result of certain experiences of “contempt”, and that from the figures of contempt there emerge moral motivations that push us to fight until we achieve reciprocal recognition among people.
