ABSTRACT

Ponders on the concept of moral disengagement. A search is carried out in databases, using the terms "Desconexión Moral" and "Moral Disengagement". The concept is understood as the subject's ability to detach himself from his ethical conceptual frameworks, allowing deviant behavior, by avoiding guilt and shame. The contemporary manifestations of the variable, associated with phenomena such as terrorism and aggression, and the unscrupulous and competitive leadership that some organizations encourage, among others, are exposed. Finally, the moral disengagement is explained from the reciprocal interaction between endogenous and exogenous variables that influence the individual.
