Infiltration in rotator cuff tendinitis
Abstract
Objective: To compare the results of anatomically oriented or ultrasound-guided infiltration as a treatment in patients with rotator cuff tendonitis. Materials and methods: correlational, non-experimental design, prospective, longitudinal section, the sample is of 47 patients with rotator cuff tendinitis treated with infiltration with anatomical orientation and ultrasound guidance, with two random groups. A checklist and frequency distribution tables will be used. The complications of ultrasound-guided infiltration 95.9% (23) did not present results, 4.1% (1) the complication was immediate. Statistical significance was used for the student's t for independent samples, the value of p = 0.00 indicating a positive association between the two study groups. Conclusion: The results of ultrasound-guided infiltration were more effective as a treatment than anatomically oriented infiltration in patients with rotator cuff tendinitis.
