DIAGNÓSTICO DE COVID19 POR PCR EN SINTOMÁTICOS RESPIRATORIOS MEDIANTE TRIAGE EN LA PROVINCIA DE MANABÍ, ECUADOR

Resumen

A finales de 2019 surgió un nuevo coronavirus, causando la grave enfermedad denominada síndrome respiratorio agudo severo de coronavirus 2 (Sars-Cov-2). Se diagnosticó la enfermedad Covid19 por PCR en sintomáticos respiratorios, mediante TRIAGE en la Provincia de Manabí, Ecuador. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo en pacientes sintomáticos respiratorios entre agosto del 2020 y abril del 2021 en consulta externa de medicina general de un centro de atención de salud pública. Se evalúo, la presencia de Sars-Cov-2 mediante la prueba de RT-PCR. De 275 casos atendidos el 48,7% positivo para COVID19 (Sars-Cov-2). El tiempo promedio entre el inicio de los síntomas y el resultado positivo para SARCOV2 (Covid19) de 7,3 días. El género masculino obtuvo el 51%, y el rango de edad más alto estuvo entre los 40 a 51 años (25,1%). El mayor número de ocupación estuvo compuesta de choferes, sastres, albañiles, y vendedores ambulantes (38,9%). En cuanto a los síntomas, la cefalea se presentó con el (64,4%), seguido de malestar general (52,4%) y tos (45,5%). La hipertensión arterial se observó en un (41,7%), y diabetes mellitus tipo 2 con (25%). La prueba RTPCR para Sars-Cov-2 es fundamental en el Triage de pacientes de tipo respiratorio con altas sospechas de tener la enfermedad Covid19.
