Bioetical competences in nursing internship of Ecuador
Abstract
The academic training of a health team profes-sional such as the nursing professional is essential, so higher education institutions that offer health ca-reers must constantly supervise the acquisition of the skills necessary for that profession, it is in this sense that bioethical competences in the nursing in-tern, who is about to practice his profession, beco-mes relevant. The objective of this study is to des-cribe the bioethical criteria in the competencies of being in nurses of the University of Guayaquil. This study is experimental, as it focuses on controlling the phenomenon to be studied through deductive reasoning. The population studied is composed of all students enrolled in the pre-professional inter-nships of the Nursing Career during the academic period 2019-2020, with a total of 117 internships, specifically students who rotate in the city of Gua-yaquil. A formal and structured questionnaire-type instrument was applied, conclusions. The results were that 88.03% of respondents have competen-cies to be evidenced by their performance in mea-ningful care activities, 73% of respondents express that very often and often have affective links with the patient, 54.70% of the population studied claims that they often possess attributes to provide health responses to society. In conclusion, it is expressed that the bioethical criteria of nursing skills were des-cribed through the relevant results obtained in the study, which show that bioethical competence is composed of criteria that give it the meaning for the fulfillment of nursing activities, when they are some-times unable to observe their patients in a compre-hensive manner.
