Tensiones sociotécnicas de la inteligencia artificial en institutos tecnológicos del sur mexicano
Resumen
Los institutos tecnológicos en regiones periféricas enfrentan presiones para incorporar inteligencia artificial en sus procesos académicos y administrativos, en escenarios atravesados por desigualdad estructural. El objetivo del estudio fue analizar las tensiones sociotécnicas emergentes ante esa expansión en tres institutos tecnológicos del sur de México. Desde un enfoque relacional de los estudios de ciencia, tecnología y sociedad, se aplicó un diseño metodológico mixto convergente en los institutos tecnológicos de Frontera Comalapa, Cintalapa y Comitán de Domínguez, en Chiapas. La fase cuantitativa combinó minería de procesos sobre más de 9.000 registros institucionales y experimentos de campo con 360 decisiones mediadas por algoritmos; la fase cualitativa incluyó 32 entrevistas en profundidad, 20 observaciones no participantes y 3 grupos focales. Los resultados muestran una disonancia sostenida entre la eficiencia algorítmica y las prácticas humanas consolidadas. Emergieron cuatro tensiones centrales: Autonomía profesional frente a control algorítmico, devaluación del conocimiento tácito frente a la dataficación, opacidad técnica frente a responsabilidad institucional y eficiencia global frente a equidad local. Se concluye que la integración tecnológica no es neutral, sino un campo de negociación que reconfigura relaciones, identidades y procesos organizacionales, demandando una gobernanza participativa, ética y contextualmente sensible.
