Percepción social para reinserción de privados de libertad en Perú: Efecto del edentulismo
Resumen
La reinserción de los convictos requiere de su aceptación social, el edentulismo es un factor en contra a dicha reinserción. En este sentido, el objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la percepción social para la reinserción de los privados de libertad en Perú, frente al efecto que ocasiona el edentulismo en la penitenciaria de Huancas, del Amazonas, Perú. Se efectuó una investigación cuantitativa mediante un estudio descriptivo, transversal y observacional, utilizando odontogramas para determinar la clasificación de Kennedy de los convictos; además, los datos obtenidos se analizaron mediante estadísticas descriptivas. Los resultados muestran que la totalidad de la población convicta es edéntula con más del 90%, mostrando pérdida de dientes anteriores (73,5%), evidenciando que la clase IV de Kennedy, es la predominante, además se encontró que la falta de programas de rehabilitación bucal en el sistema de salud peruano, contribuye con la pérdida dental y a desarrollar un rostro poco atractivo. En conclusión, se observa que el edentulismo es un infortunio generalizado en la población carcelaria, y como tal situación influencia en la reinserción social, se tiene que implementar programas de rehabilitación para evitar reincidencia correctiva, pues la apariencia facial atractiva es un elemento clave para lograr la aceptación social.
