Factores que afectan la salud física de las mujeres: evidencia empírica de los barrios marginales de Rawalpindi
Resumen
Debido a la rápida urbanización en Pakistán, ha generado un aumento drástico en la tasa de crecimiento de barrios marginales. La salud de las mujeres en estos asentamientos es una preocupación creciente para el país. Las mujeres que viven en condiciones de vida precarias son vulnerables a problemas de salud. El objetivo principal del estudio es analizar la salud física, incluyendo el nivel de energía, dificultades para dormir, enfermedades crónicas, dolencias físicas y problemas de salud que enfrentan las mujeres en áreas marginales. También busca identificar los factores que impactan la salud física de estas mujeres, como factores socioeconómicos y el nivel de conciencia sobre la salud. El área de estudio son las zonas marginales de Rawalpindi. Se utilizó un método mixto para esta investigación, incluyendo datos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se emplearon pruebas de Chi cuadrado y regresión lineal para explicar el impacto de los factores en la salud física de las mujeres. Los factores socioeconómicos desfavorables y el bajo nivel de conciencia sobre la salud afectan negativamente el estado de salud física de las mujeres en barrios marginales. Estas son vulnerables a enfermedades infecciosas. La salud física de los residentes de barrios marginales está por debajo del promedio, ya que pertenecen a un segmento marginado de la sociedad. Se requiere acción inmediata por parte de las autoridades de salud para mejorar las condiciones en estas áreas y tomar medidas que promuevan la salud de las mujeres.
