Corporate Social Responsibility as a strategic axis for sustainability and innovation in sports management

Keywords: sustainability, innovation, business ethics, sports management, social impact

Abstract

This article highlights the importance of Corporate Social Responsibil- ity (CSR) and its impact on diverse business, academic, and sports contexts as a social function that integrates strategic axes with administrative dynamics, oriented toward sustainability, innovation, and resource efficiency for human and community develop- ment. Through a literature review, analytical categories are adopted to reflect and understand the legitimate nature of social intervention, institutional development, and community transformation. The results indicate that this process demands a transformation in organizational culture, embracing corporate values and adopting best practices by fostering transparency, institutional ethics, developing profitable relationships, and promoting diversity and inclusion. It is concluded that CSR as a policy drives long-term value creation, strengthens relationships with the community, and energizes sustainable practices. In the sports field, its development is considered not only a trend but also a necessity to ensure social responsibility.
