Archive or digital preservation policy
The journal Divulgaciones Matemáticas adopts a digital preservation policy that guarantees access to digital files, through a management process that maintains their long-term availability, which guarantees access to files even when formats and technologies evolve. To this purpose, we use the plataform Zenodo.org and a set of activities has been designed to keep this preservation process up-to-date and active, through:
-
Evaluation of the preservation value: It is carried out through the training and awareness of the personnel involved in the preservation process.
-
Identification: A code system is used to maintain the organization and privacy of the stored information.
-
Verification of the integrity: A periodic review is carried out to verify the integrity of the stored documentation.
-
Content classification: The content is classified according to pre-established patterns.
-
Assurance of sustainability: The digital preservation policy includes mechanisms that guarantee the sustainability of the stored documentation over time.
-
Adding metadata: The information to be preserved is packed together with descriptive metadata.
