Anti-plagiarism policies
The journal Divulgaciones Matemáticas of the Universidad del Zulia, adopts an anti-plagiarism policy that ensures that all published articles are original and unpublished, by submitting them to the analysis of different free online programs, among which are: DupliCheker, SmallSEOTools, Plagiarims detector, and Rearch Engine Reports. This action is carried out by the editor-in-chief, in collaboration with the associate editors, the body of referees designated for the evaluation of each manuscript, and the editorial committee of the journal.
Guidelines for plagiarism detection cases:
-
All papers received by the journal must submit you to one or more plagiarism detection programs.
-
Reviewers are called to participate in this policy, being vigilant in detecting plagiarism by scrutinizing and linking the work received and the publications of the corresponding specialty area, or using other anti-plagiarism programs.
-
In case of detection of plagiarism in any work, the editor-in-chief or, failing that, the executive editor responsible for evaluating the manuscript will issue the corresponding report to the editorial committee, indicating the work involved, the authors responsible, the magnitude of the plagiarism (percentages), the programs used in the detection and other salient aspects.
-
The editorial committee will evaluate the corresponding report and will rule on the actions to follow, depending on the magnitude of the plagiarism detected, among which may be found: informing the authors involved, legal advice on copyright, informing the corresponding authorities in the cases warranted, others.
-
In the event of detection of plagiarism after the publication of the work, the editorial committee will abide by the established legislation on copyright and will support the original authors in this eventuality.
