Estudio comparativo de dos métodos para valoración cuantitativa de la parasitemia por tripanosomas
Abstract
El autor efectúa una comparación entre las técnicas de Pizzi y la de Petana con modificaciones por él propuestas, para valoración cuantitativa de la parasitemia por tripanosomas, realiza 90 determinaciones simultáneas con ambas técnicas y somete o pruebas de significancia estadística las muestras. Los resultados obtenidos indican que las variaciones entre ambas pruebas no tienen significancia estadística y las observadas son debidas al azar. Concluye considerando que en los casos de parasitemia baja es recomendable la técnica de Pizzi modificaciones y en parasitemias elevadas recomienda la técnica de Petana con las modificaciones por él propuestas
