Clasificación histológica de los tumores neuroendocrinos pancreáticos
Histological Classification of Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms
Abstract
For classification of Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms, histopathological evaluation and cell proliferation are required. Are classified as Neuroendocrine Tumors, Neuroendocrine Carcinomas and Mixed Neuroendocrine-Noneuroendocrine Neoplasia. According to cell proliferation, determined by the mitotic count and the Ki-67 index, they are classified into Grades (Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3). This classification is linked to prognosis and response to therapy. The prognosis depends on the degree, in such a way that the aggressiveness of the biological behavior is proportional to the degree.
