Abstract

This essay is developed with the purpose of responding to the concern: What is the role of human rights in the geopolitics of the new world order? Hence, the principle of universality that accompanies human rights is highlighted, as a cultural product that, progressively over time, has managed to be globally accepted and even ratified from the sincere intention of assuming the commitment to respect, protect and fulfill. responsibly for its observance in accordance with the legal, political and governmental structure of each State, as a cornerstone of international relations, shaping interactions between States and influencing the global geopolitical landscape. Specifically in relation to the context of the new world order, characterized by changing power dynamics and the rise of non-state actors, the relevance of human rights in geopolitics has become increasingly pronounced, generating challenges and considerations involved in the balance of national interests with human rights considerations. Concluding that, digital diplomacy and the use of information technology have revolutionized international relations, facilitating the exchange of information, intergovernmental communication and public participation in decision-making processes, it being important that in this context, the political leaders and international organizations work together to address the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities that arise from the geopolitical realities of today's world, as a result of multilateral cooperation, diplomatic dialogue and respect for international law and specifically human rights as aspects keys to building world order.
