DIAGNÓSTICO DE MASTITIS SUBCLÍNICA DE VACUNOS LECHEROS MEDIANTE EL CONTEO DE CÉLULAS SOMÁTICAS EMPLEANDO DOS MÉTODOS DIAGNÓSTICOS.

Resumen

El objetivo fue comparar los resultados del conteo de células somáticas (CCS) empleando la citometría de flujo por imágenes (CFI) y la tradicional prueba de mastitis de California (CMT) en el diagnóstico de mastitis subclínica en los bovinos lecheros. Se analizó un total de 44 muestras de leche. Se consideraron para el estudio sólo las muestras de cuartos mamarios que no presentaba mastitis clínica. Mediante CMT se clasificaron las muestras en negativas, con reacción débil, con reacción distinguible y con reacción fuertemente positiva. La concentración de CS en la leche fue evaluada empleando la tinción de Sybr Green I. Se calculó el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman entre el CCS
y el puntaje de CMT, se calculó el coeficiente de asociación de Tau-b de Kendall entre la respuesta al CMT y a tres niveles del CCS (menos de 750 x 103
; 750 x 103 a 1500 x 10; más de 1500x 1033 células por mL) y se calculó el nivel de concordancia entre ambas pruebas utilizando un umbral de 1000 x 10
células por mL para el diagnóstico de la mastitis subclínica, mediante el índice
de Kappa de Cohen. Al realizarse un análisis de correlación de Spearman, el coeficiente de correlación fue de 0,26 (P>0,05), el cual es un nivel de correlación bajo. El análisis estadístico revela que los resultados no estuvieron asociados, ya que el coeficiente de asociación de Tau-b de Kendall fue de 0,15 (P>0,05). El CMT fue eficiente en la discriminación CCS a un nivel de 1000 x 10
3 células por mL con una sensibilidad de 69,2% y una especificidad del 71,0%. Mostrando un coeficiente de concordancia de Kappa de Cohen de 0,36 (P<0,05). Los resultados del presente trabajo sugieren que la CFI puede ser una buena alternativa y una herramienta complementaria para evaluar la salud de la ubre.3
