Aproximación a los fundamentos teóricos del liderazgo auténtico

Resumen

El tema del liderazgo parece ser una asignatura siempre vigente cuando se aborda la gerencia como objeto de estudio. Más aún en la época actual cuando se cuestiona, cada vez con mayor énfasis, acerca del estilo del líder, la ética y su posibilidad de enfrentar contingencias. Tomando en consideración lo anterior, el propósito del trabajo es explorar los fundamentos teóricos más relevantes que sustentan la perspectiva del liderazgo auténtico. Para ello, se realizó una revisión documental basada en textos especializados en el área y artículos publicados sobre la temática en revistas científicas indizadas. En general, la literatura sugiere, que los líderes auténticos son la solución para la crisis de liderazgo que existe en el mundo actual. Además estos líderes poseenatributos que abarcan y otorgan un alto sentido a la integridad, tienen un carácter moral y autodisciplina a toda prueba, con un propósito nítido y una clara preocupación por los demás; todo lo cual transmite confianza, esperanza, optimismo, positivismo, resiliencia y mucha energía. Se concluye que el desarrollo del liderazgo auténtico requiere estar integrado a la cultura organizacional, con el fin de maximizar los resultados positivos y la sostenibilidad de su ventaja competitiva, por medio de una actuación verdadera, ética y moralmente aceptable en estos tiempos.
